Plans; semicolons
Christmas presents: bought, arranged, or planned, excepting stuff for my mom. Will find something for her, just dunno when.
Drive down: begins tomorrow at 1000, ends either Tuesday or Wednesday whenever I happen to get to Houston, depending on where and when I decide to sleep.
Plans while in Houston: wide open except for Christmas Day. I'd like to get to a range while I'm down there; if any of you Houston lot would like to meet Emma the nice way, just say the word. Other than that, suggest something; I've fallen completely out of touch with regular events down there other than #s, which may not be possible due to time constraints (read: Friday being Christmas Eve/NYE).
Plans for getting back: again, fairly open. It might be nice to get back before 2 January, because L2's school starts back up that day and she's mentioned wanting to get together, but I refuse to drive after dark on New Year's Eve and it would suck to leave so early as to be back by the 31st. Perhaps there's a compromise; if anyone on the road between Iowa City and Houston has ideas, feel free to chime in. At the absolute latest, I must be back by the morning of 6 January.
