Generic post meme, via kirinqueen

I wrote a shitpile of code, did some army stuff, and drank a lot of coffee.

Also, I miss Houston and San Francisco. Iowa sucks.

I got bored and decided to grep through /usr/share/dict for all words ending in -us, looking for things that would make interesting domain names and weren't already taken (e.g. gregario.us, bacill.us or abac.us).

acanth.us is begging for a florist or gardener to buy it up.

acephalo.us would make a good anarchocapitalist site. Or anarchosyndicalist, for that matter.

aeschyl.us or aesculapi.us would be great for fans of Greek mythology, but aeol.us is taken.

vir.us is long gone, but adenovir.us is wide open. Quick, someone start a warez group!

I'm surprised that no piercer has taken trag.us or antitrag.us.

Similarly, there are dozens of dinosaur names ending in saur.us -- which is itself already gone, but the names themselves are out there.

The wordlist also includes suffixes, so I plowed through some of those too. Most of the good ones are taken, including voro.us -- but curiously, not phago.us. Mine now.

(Now to figure out what to do with a site like http://anthropo.phago.us ...)
