[geekery] Wot I dun at werk
Jan. 17th, 2006 05:25 pmToday I learned about variadic macros and reinforced the knowledge I already had about how object slicing happens in C++. It's a nifty feeling when I forget how something actually works, but can quickly bash together a short program to re-demonstrate to myself what I already knew all along.
( A quick tutorial on object slicing )
I rather like what I'm doing here. I haven't slung any real code yet, but I've been studying our (extremely readable) backend and writing a small set of API docs for both my own benefit and that of the people we're hiring on.
Speaking of which, we're looking for engineers. If you're strong in the C++ side of the force or you know a lot about network protocols (or both!), and are willing to live in the Bay Area, feel free to toss me a resume. Smart people work here and management has more clue than I've seen in a long damn time.
