qbe now supports real-valued data types other than floats (e.g., ints, bools) and will skip columns that have been dropped from a table. i continue to learn more about postgres.

I remember feeling, some seven or eight-odd years ago, that I had taken a wrong turn, metaphysically speaking, and had wandered into a different life. More to the point, it was the wrong life; I didn't know whose it was, but it wasn't mine and I wasn't happy there. I did what I could to make the place more comfortable, but something about it was always wrong.

That sensation went away a little over a year ago. Since then, it's felt like my life has been on fast-forward, as if I've been rushing up to meet something, although I wasn't quite sure what.

These last few weeks, I've had that "you're in a different life" feeling again, but this time there's a correctness to it; the disconnect seems for all the world like I skipped some of the boring bits and travelled forward in time to where I was supposed to be all along.
