For that which we are about to receive or have already received, such as brisk autumn days, piles of crunchy yellow leaves, cute girls who ask me to join in a game of touch football, lamb and falafel pita sandwiches, housemates who vacuum, boys who mean what they say both when they say it and afterward, and gorgeous knee-high leather boots, dear Lord, make us truly thankful. Besides, I don't think it actually rains in California; although occasionally they may have some rain airlifted in from Seattle.

yeah, we voted against rain in the last city council meeting. Although I think there's a Fog Proposition coming up in the election next week.. can't wait to see who's bankrolling *that* one.
