Leopards?

Ganked from BoingBoing: the Jewish.com online store has a Bag of Plagues which you can buy to instruct kids about the 10 Plagues of Egypt.

Some of them are pretty straightforward -- the hopping frog, the louse, the locust -- and I can even understand the metaphorical aspect of the ping-pong ball for hail and the sunglasses to represent darkness descending over the land. But, erm ... the leopard mask? Where does it mention a plague of leopards?

As a side note, there are also 10 Plagues Finger Puppets and a song by Lars Frederiksen and the Bastards.

I don't remember leopards, but isn't there a plague of wild beasts?

Odd

I've got the ten plagues as:

1. Nile turns to blood
2. Frogs
3. Lice
4. Flies
5. Diseased cows
6. Boils
7. Hail
8. Locusts
9. Darkness
10. Death of the firstborn

I'm not sure where the leopards fit into all that.

Maybe the leopard ate the first born. ;-)

Ha! This is hilarious. If we could identify the green hand, the hose or pump or whatever, and the mystery items in the top right corner with any of the other plagues, we could assign the leopard by eliminating all wrong choices. The cow is clearly the cow, that one's easy.

The hose-and-pump assembly is what makes the hopping frog hop. I've seen toys like that before.

Hey Meredith, what did you write for your officer essay? I'm having the biggest delay with mine.

Not quite sure what you mean by that. Explain?

You know. That two page thing, "I want to be an officer in the Army. I want to serve my country, be challenged in every way and method, etc".?
