Strange things in my living room
Dec. 17th, 2005 12:41 pmI have had a gas mask in my living room for the last three and a half years. No, really. It was
shrike6's, and when I kicked him out he left it here. It has been the subject of much amusement at Geekhaus parties, but I do not feel particularly compelled to keep it anymore, as it really never fit with my decorating aesthetic.
To my knowledge it has been worn once, during the incident at a party a year and a half ago when I was making General Tso's chicken and accidentally burned the peppers, thereby gassing the entire house with capsaicin. I do not believe that the cartridge in it is any good, but it could probably be replaced if you wanted a functional gas mask.
Anyway, I'd like to get rid of it, so if anyone wants a gas mask, speak up and let me know why you want it. Most amusing comment gets it. I will put it in a box and mail it to you.
Photos are available on request.
