Vindicated!

Ever since my first visit to Amsterdam, via a train that passed through Leiden, I have wanted to go to Leiden and see the jars. enochsmiles said that was silly, there weren't any jars there anymore. "But there's got to be a museum!" I said. "You don't name the first capacitors ever invented after a city and not have a museum for them!"

The Good and Bad Report

Yesterday, I:

• had a migraine. That's bad.
• knocked it out in short order with my awesome migraine meds. That's good.
• walked all over town in the rain hunting for pallets to put in my cellar for the boxes that are coming, and struck out completely. That sucked.
• was reminded once again of just how awesome my friends are. That made my day.
• learned how to make soap, and now have half a kilogram of rosemary-infused cold-process soap and half a kilogram of honey-infused hot-process soap. That made my day even more.

Today, I:

• woke up with another migraine. WTF, brain. Happily, Maxalt wins again.
• received my free goodies from Cypress Semiconductor and ST Micro. Time for some new projects!
• ran out of food for the cat. That's annoying, but easily remedied.
• gave a bar of homemade honey soap to the guy at the health-food store where I got the coconut oil that went into it, and received a piece of basil-and-garlic sheep-milk cheese in return. That was unexpected and really nice.
• have many errands to run, and at least it isn't raining quite so much anymore. Yay!
