I thought I understood generally what "work" was, but now I am somewhat confused.

:)

Nice double dactyl!

I'm an intern in the bioinformatics department at Integrated DNA Technologies (http://www.idtdna.com), on top of the PhD research and coursework. I don't actually do anything in the lab myself, but I contribute to SciTools (http://scitools.idtdna.com), our oligonucleotide-design software.

Lately, I've been working on an app which generates primers for site-directed mutagenesis. It's also been an ongoing joke (for the last several years) that I need an army of clones to finish all the projects I start, and for the last year that I now have the opportunity to produce said clones -- presuming I can find the time to learn to make them, that is. ;)
