/me dances the dance of being a presenter at CodeCon!

I knew it was a very outside chance, since CodeCon isn't a bioinformatics conference, but I sent in a proposal for a talk on SciTools, and the acceptance turned up this morning. Whee! I've never been to San Francisco before, and going on the company's dime will be quite a treat.

Y'know, I almost wish I hadn't finished my undergrad on time...I'd still be in Turlock, which is a managable driving distance to go meet someone in San Francisco.

whee! have fun!
and go you , for having got accepted to do a talk - always a cool way to get the company to pay for sending you to a conference (much cooler than what I ever got - which was just being sent to attend, though that *was* cool in it's own way
:-) )

urgh... that should be "its" - stupid effing typing processer in my brain not checking in with the usage portion as to which homonym we're acually meant to be typing... that seems to be the problem btw - I've found if I'm typing fast I suddenly make homonym choice errors I've never have problems with, or even type entirely wrong words - very occasional I've found if I start to make a typo my brain just picks to spell another word entirely, without doing sanity checking to see if that was the word that I' been thinking when I composed the sentence! The most fascinating occurance of all was when I suddenly noticed I had switched midsentence to a new sentence entirely - starting from the typo, which was a legitimate word, the typing part of my brain hadd started adlibbing something that followed as a logical continuation from the incorrect word, but that had nothing to do with the origianl thought as represented by the first half of the sentence up to that point. 'twas fascinating to see.
