I'm not sure what prompted Apoptygma Berzerk to move from industrial/electronica to electronica-influenced hard rock, but I'm really liking their album You and Me Against the World right now. Yay, guitars.

Toronto, Day 3 is about halfway written up. More later.

Still undecided about You and Me Against the World. They were very good bleepy trace-influenced gothy electronica. They're not amazingly good electronica influenced rock. Cambodia is a strong track though.

Darn, it's not on itunes music store. I hope the cd doesn't have any weird copy protection. I've been loath to purchase cds, since they started putting weird copy protection schemes on them. At least with DRM on AAC format (m3p) from itunes, I know what I'm buying.

Not sure. I've been listening to my roommate's copy, but I can try and find out if you like.

Alternately, I'll be in Dallas on the 23rd, so I could play you some selected excerpts if you want to do the usual sushi thing. :)

Hmmmm... sushi on the 23rd (lunch or dinner) would work out quite well, me thinks. Ring me when you are in proximity!

Up until recently, according to allmusic.com, Apoptygma Berzerk was with Metropolis Records. "You and Me Against the World" was released by BMG Germany in 2005. And as everyone has probably heard by now, Sony BMG has been rootkitting people's Windows boxes without their consent. See: http://www.sysinternals.com/blog/2005/10/sony-rootkits-and-digital-rights.html

There is probably cause for worry.

Well, the CD he has just has mp3s of the tracks. So someone he knows probably has cause to worry, but not me. :)

(That, and I only own one Windows box and never use it.)
