This post has to do with pot ... um, weeds ... oh, dammit. Containers! There we go, containers.

Dear Bay Area people,

The garden on my balcony has really been thriving this summer, and if I do not transplant at least a few of my plants into larger plant-holding devices in the very near future, I will be overrun by some very sad oregano, mint, lavender and dill. I can certainly go to OSH and pick up new containers, but my inner gutterpunk scrounger demands I check to see if any of you, Gentle Readers, have any largish and unused flowerpots just taking up space in your living rooms, on your decks, in your garages, whatever. I'm especially looking for anything at least 10" in diameter; larger's great too. I will happily come and haul them away, and would also be happy to bring you healthy cuttings or seedlings in tribute if you like. Lemme know.

I wish I could take some of your plantlings, I would love some mint and dill and even lavender. I have oregano, but I think it's a certain kind. I even have some pots, but alas, I'm not in the Bay Area :(

I also have catmint, fennel, and parsley that are doing really well, and I'm nursing my chamomile and poppies but they're barely growing so far. I wonder how hard it is to transport seedlings on a plane? I'd be happy to bring you some next time I'm home.

maybe wrap in a moist paper towel and store in a plastic baggie for repotting asap? I can bring you rosemary, lemon thyme, and aloe vera if you'd like. when are you coming home next? November?

I hope it's before November. enochsmiles and I want to come see everyone soon, but we also need to go visit his mom and brother at some point as well and that hasn't happened yet.

If you wanted to come out for a visit, though, we'd be happy to put you up!
