Ripped off from [livejournal.com profile] ilcylic, because I just had to.

How would you describe the [livejournal.com profile] maradydd action figure? What accessories would it come with?

I think... it would be a McFarlane Collector's Club fig, packaged with a short pulp action short story. Wearing a trenchcoat (I'd be tempted to say putting a trenchcoat on the variant figure, but CC figs usuallly ARE the variants, or one-shots), comfypants, and a t-shirt that says "Radio Free". Packaged with a sculpted scenery base; I'm picturing steel plate with bundles of cables artistically strewn across it... something to look like it came from an exaggerated server cave, with part of a cinder block wall in back and a suitably imposing stone gargoyle on one side. Maybe even with a well-placed can painted to resemble an obvious knock-off of popular caffinated beverage, which is empty (of course) and partially crushed. And for accessories: laptop, handgun of some variety, shoulderbag, a vintage radio, and, because I'm old school like that, a brown-and-leopard-print fedora.

Of course, the name of the figure, proudly presented on the clamshell package, would be "The Smart Polite Nerd".

Let's see...a leather jacket with many buttons, a little laptop, an army duffle bag that's bigger than she is, and combat boots. :)

Hope you are doing well, dear. :)

Glasses, FAQ, laptop, copy of "Atlas Shrugged". North Bound [livejournal.com profile] maradydd outfits also available for purchase. Press the button on her back, and she codes a random small utility program.

I don't know what the main-line chracter would have as accessories, but "Party Maradydd" would come with a laptop, handcuffs, a random strap-on accessory, and a pint-mug filled with something looking like blue-green milk and a green dollar-sign imprinted roughly on top of the liquid.

Cause it isn't really party-time Maradydd without a naughty objectivist.

The [livejournal.com profile] maradydd action figure? Now, that's a real collector's item, because there aren't very many of them—they were all made by hand, you see, and no two are exactly alike. There are some in civilian clothes, some in uniform; there's one with a laptop, one with a book, one with a rifle, one with a pencil and paper, one with a VTA system map, and so on. They are constructed to different scales, and in different styles, with wildly varying degrees of realism and stylization. But they are all, oddly enough, instantly recognizable as belonging to the set of [livejournal.com profile] maradydd action figures. Anyone who has seen even just a couple of them can, upon encountering an unfamiliar one, identify it as sharing some essential but hard-to-define property with the others.

But is the set of [livejournal.com profile] maradydd action figures a member of itself?

The first-edition action figure, dressed in jeans and T-shirt, comes with a copy of Atlas Shrugged, projector, and salad spinner.

The first special edition is dressed in a leather haltar top and fuck-me boots and is equipped with two stakes - no wait, that's Vampire Willow - a laptop, a travel bag, and keys to the handcuffs (sold separately).

2006-edition Maradydd wears a camoflauge-print tank top and dark blue jeans. Her accessories include laptop, 4 woodworking tools, two Python reference books, a bottle of unidentified little white pills, and a cable tie.

Special Bonus offer! The first 50 pre-orders of the new 2006 Maradydd will also receive a limited-edition Odin and Bounce!
