Best random Internet music find of the last week: "If I Only Were A Goth" by Thou Shalt Not.

They found a rhyme for "Einsturzende Neubauten". The song is hilarious. Go listen to it.

Alexx is a great lyricist, and musician in general for that matter. I'm well impressed by him.

([livejournal.com profile] doktorvox on LJ, BTW.)

I've been enjoying the other material on their playlist just as much, actually! But I really want to hear the lounge cover of "Headhunter". :)

That was how I found the band exists -- [livejournal.com profile] enochsmiles had never seen the incredibly bizarre egg-carrying video for "Headhunter", so I showed it to him, and then he said "Are those guys Belgians?" [the big atom-looking sculpture/building thing that you see throughout the video is called the Atomium, it's on the outskirts of Brussels], so we looked them up on Wikipedia, and clicked over to the article about "Headhunter", saw that TSN had done a lounge cover, and said "We have to check that out."

SF-based SeeColinSlash did a fun acoustic cover of Headhunter, too.

You might also like Eric's new project, Everything Goes Cold [Myspace]. He has a track entitled I've Sold Your Organs on the Black Market to Finance the Purchase of a Used Minivan.

So wrong and so right! You must hear Rob Balder's "She's Always A Goth Chick To Me" filk perversion of the Billy Joel song. Here are the lyrics and a sound file if you're logged into their thing... I heard it on the Fump before, but can't find the file. It's pretty damn funny.

I hadn't realized you hadn't encountered them.

Oops. They're excellent.

Mmm, have you found the wonderful cover of They're Coming To Take Me Away by Neuroticfish?
And you know from Voltaire, nu?
